These are the Top Internet Marketing buzzwords you will hear in 2015, so you can be in the know. I pulled this list from Colibri IO‘s Growth Hacking Blog.

So, what is a buzzword anyway? Definitions vary slightly in the contexts used. Everyone pretty much agrees it is a word or phrase, that sounds really cool, is en vogue, generally technical and used to sound authoritative, but may sometimes actually mean very little.

What is  marketing buzz? Marketing buzz was originally a term used in reference to oral communications. Today in the world of social media, Twitter and Facebook are two dominant channels in creating the marketing buzz used in viral marketing techniques.

What is Internet marketingInternet Marketing is a buzzword itself. Internet Marketing, sometimes known as eMarketing for electronic Marketing is, according to Webopedia, “Internet marketing, or online marketing, refers to advertising and marketing efforts that use the Web and email to drive direct sales via electronic commerce, in addition to sales leads from Web sites or emails. Internet marketing and online advertising efforts are typically used in conjunction with traditional types of advertising like radio, television, newspapers and magazines.”

an individual’s learning a skill through observation, without necessarily changing their behaviors or on-the-job performance.

  1. Alphanista

successful women in powerful positions having it all.

  1. Acqui-hire

a blend of acquired and hired.

  1. Inventreprenuers

an entrepreneur-inventor hybrid that markets and/or manufactures their own creation.

  1. Twinternship

an internship where the student’s mission is to promote the company and its brands using social media such as Twitter and Facebook.

  1. Wantrepreneur

someone who hasn’t taken all the steps necessary to take the leap into entrepreneurship.

  1. Minergy

someone who uses minimal energy to get the task accomplished.

  1. Tri-ti-tasking

doing three things at once.

  1. Omnichannel Retailing

“Omnichannel retailing” is the concept of encompassing social media, online, bricks and mortar, and mobile, into one seamless retail experience for the customer.”
